JOHN MOLLER
|
Recently
Alex Walker has started a film and production company, Malaika Media
together with John Moller and Kire Godal, with a view to producing
informative and exciting wildlife and conservation orientated documentaries.
At 42 years old John is one of Kenya's more experienced guides. John
has been guiding and operating safaris since 1978, involved with the
filming of the now famous "Lion charge" scene in the movie
"Out of Africa".
Kire's experience has been as a journalist, cameraman and film editor,
all skills that began from roots in the modeling world. More recently
John and Kire have been filming and leading spectacular walking safaris
in the Masai Mara in southwestern Kenya. |

Moller, a third generation Kenyan, has been leading safaris
for over 20 years. Well known and respected for his vast knowledge
of the African bush, he has lead expeditions into the remotest
parts of Africa's Sudan, Ethiopia, Zaire, Kenya and Tanzania.
A true son of Africa John was entitled Honorary Game Warden
of Sudan and Kenya, and was appointed Official Tourist Consultant
to the President of Ethiopia. A committed conservationist, he
has conducted countless anti-poaching patrols throughout Africa
saving thousands of animals each year. |

ALEX WALKER

|
Alex
Walker, a Kenyan by birth, has been guiding and outfitting safaris
throughout East Africa for fifteen years. During his childhood he
was to be found in the bush of Southern Tanzania, the forests of the
Mau in Kenya and the mountains and vast wilderness of Southern Sudan.
Alex spent his time in the bush on foot hunting and exploring with
his father's trackers. It was this early fascination with the animals
and birds of the bush that convinced Alex as early as five years old
that this was to be his vocation in life.
Apprenticing at seventeen with Robin Hurt and Danny McCallum upon
leaving school Alex qualified as a fully licensed professional hunter
at the age of nineteen and has since hunted in Tanzania, Botswana,
Sudan, Central Africa and Kenya. |
Alex
now thirty-four currently guides both Hunting and Photographic
safaris in Tanzania, Botswana and Photographic and wingshooting
trips in Kenya. Recently Alex has started a film and production
company together with John Moller and Kire Godal, with a view
to producing informative and exciting wildlife and conservation
orientated documentaries.
Alex is the senior partner in Alex Walker
Safaris and Ol Tome Ltd., and spends his time outfitting and
operating safaris throughout East Africa. Specializing in horseback
and camel treks based from Ol Tome's Mountain retreat and developing
exciting wingshooting opportunities on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.
At the same time Alex enjoys keeping his hand in recording some
of Africa's unique images on film. |

JULIE WILLIAMS
|
Julie
was born and raised in Kenya, growing up on ranches in the north of
the country. Much of her youth was spent on safari in wilderness areas
accompanying her father. Together with his trackers they took Julie
under their protective wing and taught her all they knew about the
animals and indigenous plants that shared their world. She has a particular
interest in the medicinal uses of many of these plants. Julie became
a professional guide in 1997 and has guided in Kenya and Tanzania
as well as Zimbabwe and Botswana. |
ANDRES
BIFANI
|
Andres
Bifani was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1961. He was brought up in
Chile, Holland and Kenya. He attended E.S.R.A. (Ecole Superieure Realisation
Audiovisuelle) in Paris where he graduated in 1984. Later he moved
back to Kenya where he works as a photographer and film director/producer,
under his own company, Location Africa Films Ltd. for local advertising
agencies and international TV networks, in particular BBC TV.
Intrepid adventurer, he has traveled extensively in many African countries
on professional assignments ranging from documentary films, fashion
catalogues, refugee camps in Burundi and former Zaire to war torn
Sudan. |

In addition to this he works for Liberty Africa Safaris as a
marking manager and leading occasional safaris in East Africa.
Andres speaks several languages fluently including French, Spanish,
Italian, English and Swahili. Andres has two children, Cris
and Jessica. He lives in Nairobi, Kenya. |

TREVOR WALKER
|
Trevor
Walker at 63 has a wealth of experience gathered over the years spent
hunting, exploring and ranching throughout East Africa. Reaching countries
as far and wide as Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia, Botswana
and Zambia in his travels as a professional hunter, Trevor is well
versed in the ways of the bush and the big game found there. A lively
fireside companion his stories are colourful and well told.

Peter's
paternal Grandfather (French) relinquished his title of Count for
an English wife and a life in England. Their only son Dennis came
to Kenya in 1944, with the Royal Artillery ("Gunners," as
he would proudly say) and later became a respected member of the Advertising
fraternity both in Kenya and South Africa.
His maternal Grandfather (Scottish) traveled by ox wagon from Mombasa
to Nairobi in 1917, in order to claim his 'Soldier/ settler' Farm,
on the foothills of Mount Kenya and Aberdare Mountain. Diana, Peters'
mother, lived and grew up at Ngobit Farm.
Peter was born in Nairobi, Kenya. After completing his education in
England where he studied for 'O' levels and went on to obtained credits
in the Hotel Industry and commercial Catering.
He has dedicated his life to the Safari industry, managing and running
Game lodges, luxury-tented camps and camping adventures throughout
East Africa. He is renowned for his deep knowledge and bounty of bush
skills of East African culture, fauna, flora, ornithology, history
and his close relationship with the Samburu community.
His legendary campfire wit and his strong personal interest and charm
in dealing with people, from all walks of life, enhance his capability
as a Professional Safari Guide.
But, beware, as not all tales he tells are as tall as they may seem!
Peter and his wife, Alison are proud to share their knowledge and
way of life with their two children, Chala and Torsten, often joining
Peter on his Safaris at the request of his guests. |
PHIL WEST
|
Phil,
grandson of one of Kenya's earliest pioneer aviators, started his
education in England obtaining a Degree in Tourism, graduating with
the help of a well received paper investigating the implications of
"Human/Wildlife conflicts in the peripheral areas of Wildlife
Reserves, with Particular reference to Kimana Sanctuary, Amboseli,
Kenya."
Latterly Phil trained to an advanced level as a Safari Guide in Southern
Africa. A keen sportsman Phil enjoys the outdoor life and positively
revels in the challenge of leading exciting and highly informed walking
safaris through the wilder areas of East Africa. |
