Annie Corcoran
Managing Director
Annie, born and bred in Kenya, has spent her entire working career in the East African travel and tourism industry. Annie has extensive experience in international sales, incentive travel, luxury travel and global conference and event business. She established Liberty Africa Safaris over 25 years ago with her husband, Richard.
Shasa Corcoran
Field Operations Manager
Shasa is a 3rd generation Kenyan born into a safari family. He spent his childhood exploring the African bush, and is an extremely knowledgeable guide, endorsed by the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association (KPSGA). Shasa ensures the vehicles, driver guides and safaris are run and maintained to the highest standard.
Simon Thuo
Operations Manager
Born and educated in Kenya, Simon has had the benefit of working in the local Tourism industry under various capacities over the years. Having started out as a tour guide, Simon went on to explore his interest in in-house operations and now expertly manages Liberty Africa Safaris operations.
Penny Gakure
Head of MICE
Penny heads up our MICE Department and graduated from the University of Nairobi with a degree in Communication & Economics followed by a Masters of Business Degree with a bias in Strategic Management. She’s been in the Tourism Industry for 17 years and enjoys every aspect of event management.
Rose Kivuva
Operations Supervisor
Rose has been working with us since the foundation of the company and has gradually moved up the ranks. Having had the privilege of personal in-house training, Rose knows the operations of the company inside and out, making her perfectly suited to manage our ‘Rest of the World’ department.
Lawrence Kimani
Financial Controller
Lawrence is a qualified accountant born in Kenya and has a wealth of financial, accounting and tax experience, working for Liberty Africa Safaris for over two decades. Lawrence also has extensive knowledge on the financial reporting for Liberty International Group.

As well as creating bespoke tours for FITs and Groups, Liberty Africa Safaris can also help with accommodation and transport. We have expertly organised guaranteed departures, with a broad range of ‘add on’ options. For MICE clients we have extensive experience in executing imaginative activities and seamless event planning to genuinely ‘wow’ guests.

We actively support a great many valuable community projects that genuinely give back and only promote authentic cultural exchanges. Our positive impact environmental initiatives, from tree planting to using catapults to fling rewilding seed balls into the bush, are always a hit with locals and visitors alike!
