Tanzania is epic. The highest free standing mountain, the largest intact volcano caldera and the world's longest freshwater lake in the world, all reside in Tanzania. Against this spectacular backdrop, the wildlife viewing is exceptional and there are many options to get off the beaten path. Add into the mix stunning tropical islands and genuinely welcoming people and you have all the ingredients for a phenomenal safari experience.

When to go?

June to October is the dry season, with excellent wildlife spotting and lovely beach weather. The Wildebeest Migration is best June to July and January to February.  December to February is another optimal time to climb Kili, whilst shoulder seasons are great for birding, lush landscapes and avoiding crowds.

There are 32 national parks and Reserves in Tanzania with excellent opportunities for birding, hiking and boat safaris.  These lesser-explored areas are perfect places to tailor make unique and authentic itineraries.

The Great Migration
